EL ANDADOR DE ÁRBOLES

- Date: May 2021

- Measurements 80 cm wide x 100 cm high

- Technique: Oil on canvas

- Price: 1,200 euros

- Painted in Petrés, Sagunto, Valencia

- Pictorial style: figurative surrealism

- Theme: Nature.

- Description:

- A scarlet-colored prickly pear can be glimpsed between the leaves of a large fig tree. A backpacker walks along the trunk of the large tree over a pool of water. The large size of the prickly pear is somewhat threatening for our little character. Its spikes are sharp and damaging.

- The walker continues on his way impassively in the face of such a threat. Above him are pictorial and natural representations that he loves: the leaves of a fig tree, the reflections of a pond or the hanging string of children's toys.

LA MARVARROSA

- Measurements 142 cm wide x 96 cm high

- Technique: Oil on canvas

- Painted in Petrés, Valencia

- Pictorial style: surrealism

- Theme: Valencian iconography

- Price 2,500

- Tribute to the creativity of the Valencian people, both in its gastronomic aspect, the clotxina, the Valencian paella, with its iconographic elements, such as the tribede, the wood-burning paella pans of the cuinera, as well as in one of its most significant elements of its crafts, the Valencian tile.
Subrealism allows the combination of compositional elements to be expressed in all its dimensions in a free way. In this work all the iconography and photograms of our landscape and town are combined. The sea, the beach, the rice, the tile, the light, the color. Another expressed graphic element is the awning. The awning for the Valencian is the representation of the shadow, the shade, so loaded with meanings: relaxation, festive enjoyment, gatherings around a good paella, afternoon tea, or a party with friends. In short, the enjoyment of the life of the Valencian people. Gastronomy, art, Mediterranean sea, light and color.

LOS CIPRESES DE PETRÉS

- Measurements 160 cm wide x 100 cm high

- Technique: Oil on canvas

- Price: 4,000 euros

- Painted in Petrés, Sagunto, Valencia

- Pictorial style: figurative surrealism

- Theme: Nature.

- Description:

- A seated woman admires the landscape of a row of cypress trees in the Palancia River near the Valencian town of Petrés. The hillside and meadow where the solitary protagonist is located is full of bushes in the shape of hot air balloons, which are actually bushes from the landscape itself.

- The light and the straight lines in a conical diagonal come from the left side of the painting, causing the drama sought by the artist.

- The faint silhouette of a pharaoh to the right of the work shows us and presents the scene.

- Formal games created by the artist:

- The observers:

1. There are three observers. The first: the girl in red observes the landscape. The second: the pharaoh observes the global scene and shows it to us. Third: The visitor outside the painting observes the total scene of the work.

2. Formal contrasts. The aggressively pointed, dark and sharp cypress trees that point to the sky are offset by the roundness, clarity and softness of the hot air balloons.

3. Contrasts between the landscape of the cypresses and its slope where the balloon-shrubs are located. The cypresses have been made with “dry stick” and the slope with glacis, seeking the transparency and glaze of their tones. On the other hand, the soft meadow where the girl in red is sitting has been made in an opaque way with saturations of white.

4, The broken carmine color of the girl in red is echoed in the scarlet globe on the far right.

5.The warm tones of the sky are echoed in the rest of the landscape.

XABIA

- Measurements 135 cm wide x 90 cm high

- Technique: Oil on canvas

- Price 1,500 euros

- Painted in Petrés Valencia

- Theme: Navy. Collage painting on Mediterranean iconography

Micro scenes painted independently, like small “tasty bites”, that retain those happy and festive days of a summer day on our Mediterranean beaches. Contraposition in complementary tones to express the light and colors of that land.

LA_VENUS_D´EL_ESPILL_REDÓ

- Measurements 125 cm wide x 120 cm high

- Technique: Oil on canvas

- Price: 2,500 euros

- Painted in Petrés, Valencia

- Theme: Work inspired by Velázquez's Venus in the Mirror.

- Inspiration from Valencian festivals and traditions.

- Formal aspects. The author wanted to introduce the golden ratio in the form of a spiral as the center of the work. The mirror, the central visual attractor, is where the spiral that revolves around the man begins and moves along the woman's skirt until it ends on her right arm. At the same time, various spirals appear throughout the painting. The dark garanza carmine skirt is the center of attention of the work. This print on the fabric of the dress leads us like a pleasant journey throughout the painting.
