- The work belongs to the artist's series, “still lifes”. Elements from the still life are integrated. In this case they are sea shells (evoking the marine works of Sorolla) and on the other hand the flowers, elements that make up numerous garden paintings by the master. In the color planning, the entire range of blues have been chosen to represent the Sorolla Sea. Also for the conch shells, complementary colors have been chosen such as medium cadmium yellow and ultramarine blue that appear in Sorolla's work: “Pescadoras de Valencia”. Research and technical explanation: Study of contrasts between transparencies and opacities in oil paintings, within the theme of a marine still life (glosses, glazes, display cases, mirrors). Use of binders and solvents that lighten the pigments and linseed oils until they become transparent. Creation of varnishes between quantities of turpentine essence and poppy oil. Lead white is used to opaque.

The artist's style, as always, is represented by figuration tending towards abstraction. Influences of brut and children's art. All the colors have been painted within the range of broken green tones playing with the different light values, mixing medium cadmium yellows and to a lesser extent a certain saturation of whites. As a contrast to the vermilion red drawings. The alternation of high and low values gives the work the necessary rhythm, fulfilling to a certain extent the rule of three thirds in its horizontal composition.

The snake heads spit out the represented animal figures with their long tongue towards the top of the painting. These hybrid beings lead us in the composition of the painting towards its upper part.
